Our approach is grounded in the principles of Equine Facilitated Learning, incorporating mindfulness, presence, and heart-centered communication into our sessions.
We call this series "Equinity" as the focus is on developing a deep understanding of horses, learning their language and building an unbreakable bond with them.

Our location:
Believe and See Ranch is located in the heart of beautiful Maple Ridge BC, we are a approximately 10 minute drive from Golden Ears & Pitt Meadows Bridges. We are NOT on a bus route, but are a short Uber ride away from all major transit hubs. As the Ranch is also a private home, for security and in consideration of our neighbours we are "by appointment only", therefore, we don't publish our address. It's provided to confirmed clients after purchase
All of our activities with the horses are done on the ground and at your comfort and *matched to your skill level (as assessed by our facilitators) for proximity and activity selection.

Find Your Equi-Center
Through Equine Facilitated Learning Activities like basic horse handling, grooming, leading, and simple obstacle courses, you'll learn the basics of communicating with horses in a respectful and nurturing way.
Our experienced facilitators will guide you through the process of developing a deep connection with your equine partner, as you learn to read their body language, understand their needs and preferences, and develop your skills and progress towards more advanced activities as you work together towards a common goal.
These sessions are also perfect for those who have more experience and would like to learn the basics of clicker training or experience working at liberty.

Our Facility
Believe & See Ranch is a unique urban oasis, nestled on 2 acres in Maple Ridge, BC - a short drive from all major bridges.
The land itself is an important part of the equine experience, which is why we've created a space where people and horses can connect in nature. As we are not a lesson barn nor a boarding facility, you can be assured of quiet, personalized experience.
We have several work areas, our full size 80X120 arena, a large working paddock, and several field areas, and the barn itself. Where we work depends on what we are working on and of course the weather.
As the barn is the only area with shelter, the majority of our exercises are done outdoors.

We are in Maple Ridge, BC a short drive from all bridges and are fully licensed and insured. As this is also our private home, for safety reasons and out of consideration for our neighbours, we are "by appointment only", therefore, we don't publish our address. It's provided to confirmed clients only as we are not open to the general public.
We accept Visa and Mastercard, at the link above, please email us if you prefer e-transfer. We do not accept cash or cheques. And all sessions must be paid at time of booking to secure your spot. Please note the legal name of our company for billing purposes is The Prosperous Woman Coaching Company Inc and that is what will show up on your credit card statement
Our spaces are very limited. Once we commit the spot to you, we cannot give it to anyone else. Therefore we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. With the exception of emergencies or extreme weather, sessions not rescheduled at least 24 hours prior are forfeited and no refunds are offered.
As our current herd are all full size horses, for safety reasons we have a minimum age requirement of 15. This may change if we add some smaller horses or ponies to our herd in the future. Please note that any minors that take sessions will be required to wear a helmet.
Please say so! We want you to develop your skills but we also want you to feel safe. Our facilitators will never ask you to do anything they deem unsafe, or beyond your skill level. However only you know your comfort level. So please remember to speak up! Horsemanship is a journey, and no two days are the same. Some days it may even feel like it went backwards and that's OK, it's all part of the process. This is a judgment free zone.
No. We are not a riding facility and do not offer any form of horseback riding to the public, however are happy to make a reccommendation to a riding school. Also most of our horses are not rideable - as they are retired or have medical conditions that prevent them from being ridden, yet they are otherwise perfectly healthy and amazing! My hope with this program and the others that we offer that we are able to raise awareness for how incredible ALL horses are. And that we can have a deep meaningful relationship even if we don't ride.
